Does Trainual have a free trial?
No. There is no free plan and no self-serve trial. Here is how evaluating Trainual actually works, what it costs to start, and how to de-risk the decision. Checked August 6, 2026.
How trying Trainual actually works
Trainual replaced self-serve signup with a sales-led process. You book a demo, walk through your use case with their team, and get a quote based on team size. Trainual's own FAQ answers the trial question by pointing buyers to that demo: a hands-on look, guided by them, rather than an open sandbox.
Prices are not published anywhere on trainual.com. The four training-suite tiers (Core, Pro, Premium, Enterprise) and the separately sold Operations suite are all quote-only. We break down what each tier includes on our pricing page.
The real cost of starting
Two numbers matter before the per-seat quote. First, a one-time $1,000 implementation fee applies to new accounts; it buys a 4-6 week guided rollout where a specialist migrates your existing content, structures your account, and builds a rollout plan. Reviewers consistently rate that onboarding help as a strength. Second, the subscription itself is per-seat, and multiple reviewers on Capterra and G2 flag the total as hard to justify below roughly ten employees.
The de-risking terms: you can pause an account for up to three months, and canceling keeps access until the end of the billing cycle. The one exit cost to plan for, straight from the critical reviews: there is no bulk export of your content.
Make the demo do the trial's job
- Bring one real, messy process and ask them to document it live with the AI tools; that is the workflow you will live in.
- Ask to see search across a large account, the mobile app, and completion reporting; these draw the most criticism in reviews.
- Get the full quote in writing: per-seat price at your headcount, the implementation fee, and any add-ons (the compliance course library is a paid add-on on every tier).
- Read the mixed and critical reviews first, so you know what to probe. They are all on the homepage, filterable by sentiment.
Common questions
Does Trainual have a free trial?+
Not a self-serve one. Trainual's own FAQ points prospective buyers to a demo call instead of a trial, and there is no free plan. Evaluation happens through a guided demo with their sales team, where plans are also quoted, since Trainual does not publish prices.
Is there a free version of Trainual?+
No. Every tier (Core, Pro, Premium, Enterprise) is paid, quoted by team size through a demo, and new accounts pay a one-time $1,000 implementation fee that covers a 4-6 week guided rollout with a dedicated implementation specialist.
Can I cancel Trainual if it doesn't work out?+
Yes, with a caveat. Canceling keeps your access until the end of the current billing cycle, and you can pause an account for up to three months instead. The bigger exit cost reviewers flag: there is no bulk export, so plan for manual content migration if you leave.
How do I evaluate Trainual without a trial?+
Bring your real use case to the demo: one messy process you want documented, your team size, and your must-have integrations (payroll/HRIS, SSO). Ask to see search, the mobile app, and reporting live, since those are the areas reviewers criticize most. Then check the critical reviews before you commit.
